We're partnered with a growing specialty insurer looking to add a Cyber / Tech E&O Underwriter to their Midwest team. This is a market-facing role with ownership over a small to mid-market portfolio and a strong emphasis on broker engagement and new business production.
Key Responsibilities * Underwrite new and renewal Cyber and Tech E&O business across a small to middle market portfolio
- Evaluate risk, structure terms, and determine pricing in line with overall underwriting strategy
- Manage a mix of new business and renewals, with a focus on profitable growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers across the Midwest to drive submission flow
- Communicate clearly on appetite, coverage, and underwriting decisions in a timely manner
- Partner cross-functionally with claims, actuarial, and product teams to support underwriting decisions
- Stay informed on evolving cyber risks, market conditions, and competitor landscape
- Identify opportunities within assigned territory to expand presence and grow the book
Profile * Experience underwriting Cyber, Tech E&O, or broader professional lines business
- Background working with brokers, either on the wholesale side or strong retail relationships
- Comfortable in a production-oriented, market-facing role
- Ability to balance growth with disciplined underwriting decisions
- At least 3 years of cyber underwriting experience
